When a register goes down the store stops taking money, so POS faults get the same treatment as a dead dispenser: diagnose it, fix it, and get the counter working again.

If the current system still does the job, we will say so. When it genuinely needs replacing, we will lay out what changes and what it costs — new or professionally refurbished.
